With the death of Dixie Carter to endometrial cancer, new interest has arisen as to the available forms of treatment for endometrial and other forms of cancer. The Robert Calhoun Center, an integrative health treatment center in Genesee, Colorado offers an alternative to traditional treatment for endometrial and other forms of chronic disease. The Robert Calhoun Center is proud to announce the launching of their new website and the kickoff of enrollment into its first group treatment session which begins in June, 2010.

Located in a luxurious retreat setting in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the Robert Calhoun Center will provide next generation therapy for patients with cancer and other chronic illnesses through revolutionary 1-3 week cleansing and treatment programs. The session sizes will be limited in order to provide individual treatment for each patient that promotes physical, emotional and spiritual renewal.

The three-week treatment programs are designed to build an increased immune system and create a whole-health transformation, areas of treatment that are quite often ignored through traditional chronic illness treatment.

Alternative treatment methods designed specifically for each patient is available, as well as supplemental care for those patients choosing more traditional treatment pathways designed to minimize the negative effects of the patient’s treatment.

Dr. Paul Branch, a veteran of integrative medicine and classical homeopathy treatments, is the founder of the Robert Calhoun Center. His knowledge in multiple disciplines allows the Center to uniquely provide multi-dimentional and inter-disciplinary treatment. The Center’s “holographic perspective” creates a medicine that sees and treats patients in multiple dimensions at once.

Scholarships and partial scholarships will be available at each treatment session. In addition, innovative financing programs have been designed with the goal in mind to open the door to treatment at the Robert Calhoun Center to as many patients as possible.

For more information, please contact the Robert Calhoun Center toll free at 1-877-859-4325 or visit online at http://www.RobertCalhounCenter.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 2, 2009

(Denver, CO) - Are you seeing signs of “layoff survivor sickness” in your workforce? Are fear, depression, and anger preventing people from being productive? How can you motivate and retain your remaining employees? Colorado-based change expert, Wendy Mack, has outlined a strategy for helping employees recover from layoffs.

Mack reveals that the best strategy for re-energizing employees is one where the manager matches his or her actions to the emotions employees are experiencing. Successful leaders:

Reduce shock by increasing communication.

Respond to anger by expressing concern.

Address anxiety by increasing and emphasizing clarity.

Reduce grief and hopelessness by using counseling and supportive behaviors.

Details of the research have been released in new e-book called “Leading After Layoffs: Best Practices for Re-Energizing Your Workforce.” Available on www.WendyMack.com.

Between December 2007, the official start of the current recession, and June 2009 more than 40,000 U.S. organizations held layoffs in an effort to reduce costs, increase profits, and improve shareholder value. Ironically, research over past the twenty years indicates that most layoffs fail to achieve these objectives. In fact, studies show that less than half of the companies that downsize see increases in profits whereas twenty-five percent actually see profits decline.

Why don’t layoffs produce the returns executives hope they will? It’s the people factor. Employees are emotionally and psychologically traumatized by layoffs. At a time when it’s critical for employees to be engaged and productive, they are demoralized, fearful, and distrustful. That doesn’t add up to a recipe for business success.

If people on your team are suffering through emotional reactions to layoffs, you can’t force them to skip ahead. You may be ready to charge the hill, but they won’t rally behind you. Rather than trying to get people to immediately move forward, your job is to help them progress through the normal cycle of change.

Employees who are emotionally supported are likely to be able to refocus on their job and maintain commitment to it. Instead of feeling miserable and distrustful, they will look to you for guidance. Instead of stagnating in hopelessness, they will be much more likely to use their creativity and take risks.

(DENVER, CO – 15 July 2009) - Denver Rent a Home, a company serving homeowners and renters in Denver’s front range introduces new services on their website, www.DenverRentAHome.com. Homeowners having properties to rent can now register to post detailed descriptions of their properties, with pictures, free of charge for a two-week period with a low monthly fee thereafter. Additionally, prospective tenants can get pre-approved to qualify for a rental property online. The company accepts all major credit cards for processing.

The improvements to the website signify the company’s commitment to excellent customer service and will boost the inventory of quality rental properties available online.

“We want to be the one-stop-shop for homeowners and renters in the Denver market,” says Owner and Co-Founder, Joyce Kelly. “We will still provide the same personal customer service, but the new website features will allow people to try us out and easily browse through more properties, so they can see what we have to offer.”

The owners started Denver Rent a Home in March, 2009 after noticing a large disparity in efficiency, professionalism and availability of information for mid-market to high-end rentals, as well as a growing interest in renting vs. buying due to the current economic and housing climate. The company and also provides home staging and property management services.

The company currently focuses on properties for rent along Denver’s front range and plans to expand nationally within the year.

August 25, 2009

(Denver, CO) – Nancy Roble, Co-Director and CEO of Denver A.C.T.S Resource Center, had a vision six years ago to feed the homeless. According to the United States Census, 20% of all people in the Denver area are beneath the poverty line. Those people who are hit the hardest by the economic decline turn to the A.C.T.S. Resource Center to find the basic essentials they need to live their lives. Today, A.C.T.S food bank feeds more than 10,000 hungry people per month – and that is only one program of the existing six. With goals and a passion to continue expansion, A.C.T.S now has a website - donated by HereNextYear, Inc. - to educate the public on different programs available to the homeless as well as list ways individuals or companies can help, including submitting online donations.

Six programs are currently offered with an agenda to add more in upcoming months. “PREP” is a program offered to anyone lacking educational skills where ACTS will jump in to offer GED, Internet 101, job skills, college prep and tutoring classes. Additionally, ACTS is partnering with the Denver Public Schools on a project for English learning classes. Another program is called “Provisions to the Poor” which allows for emergency assistance for individuals and families who are in crisis. The “Acts of Kindness” program offers free clothing for all ages and seasons, as well as household items and toiletries. “The Coffee House” is designed to provide prepared meals and emergency food to anyone who is hungry, which is separate from their primary “Food Bank” program which moves approximately 70,000 pounds of food per month. For additional programs and information, visit the website address listed below.

An important add-on to the A.C.T.S. Resource Center was the “Acts II: International Fellowship” started four years ago in West Colfax, Lakewood, Colorado. Acts II: International is an acronym for Activated Christians Taking Salvation To the Nations. Designed to bring hope to the homeless and offer salvation, the Fellowship meets on Sundays at 1pm.

A.C.T.S. Resource Center is reaching out to the Denver community and beyond for help and donations to support expansion of these life-altering programs. With sponsors such as King Soopers and Whole Foods, Nancy says, “We have plenty of food to feed the homeless. Where we are lacking is in the funds for repairs, building out the existing facility, and supplies and equipment for current and future programs. Allowing for online donations is one solution we hope our community takes advantage of.”

For more information on available programs or to see how you can support the A.C.T.S. mission, go to www.DenverACTS.org

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 10, 2009

(Denver, CO) - The concept of “Green Living” has been a hot topic among most industry leaders, but also for small business owners trying to change practices in hopes of staying alive in this changing marketplace. Part of the reason this movement has become such a priority for business owners is because of the Obama Administration’s fierce focus. Just this past May, President Obama announced more than $467 million in Recovery Act funding for geothermal and solar projects. According to a report by JP Morgan, cited in Greentech Media, “Despite an unstable regulatory environment—renewable energy tax incentives are stalled in the senate, BLM policy has been inconsistent—the United States will surpass Germany to be the largest market for solar power in the world by 2011.”

Many entrepreneurs are seeing proof of this shift, one being a popular Colorado web development services and Internet marketing company named HereNextYear. President Marty Dickinson comments, “We’ve seen an increase in people wanting websites related to more earthly topics including solar parts, gardening in tough climates and even spiritual development. The days of people wanting to sell things online like TVs and soap are in the past it seems.”

One of these Green websites is a client who sells solar electrical parts for commercial and residential use. With over 3,000 products in their warehouse, Northglenn Winlectric saw an opportunity to help the solar industry thrive even more. They do this by offering dozens of solar and electrical products on their website, www.SolarElectricDistributor.com, at a price no one else can seem to beat. HereNextYear just considers this more proof that the solar industry, among others, is taking off.

For more information on HereNextYear or market trends affecting the web development service industry, contact Marty Dickinson at www.HereNextYear.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Stephen Hyde at 719-338-9500 or sshyde@hyderx.com, www.HydeOnHealthCare.com

Author, CEO and Former Regulator Stephen S.S. Hyde Blows the Whistle on
Current Health Care Reform Proposals

When: July 15, 7:15 – 9:am; Where: Success North Dallas at Prestonwood Country Club (reservation required rsvp@successnorthdallas.org)

(July 7, 2009) The national debate on health care comes to Dallas when Stephen S.S. Hyde, a former Federal regulator, health care CEO and author is the featured speaker at the Success North Dallas meeting July 15. Hyde, who has been championing a new way for private markets to lower medical costs, will speak about how the current health care reform proposals – including President Obama’s plan for government-controlled health care –fall short of helping Americans get better and less expensive health care.

Hyde is a proponent of a whole new way of thinking about how private markets can be enlisted to lower medical costs by as much as half, increase quality by as much as two-fold, touch off a pandemic of prevention, and end the primary care physician shortage once and for all. Hyde realizes he has an uphill battle in front him and his first action is to convince people that most of what they believe about health care is a myth.

Perhaps the most controversial of his revelations is that prevention doesn’t save any money. Says Hyde, “Savings from prevention is probably the most persistent myth in health care. Even many medical insiders believe that improving insurance coverage for preventive services will bring down insurance costs, but virtually all the evidence of the past 40 years points in the opposite direction.”

Hyde, who is on a mission to change the way Americans get their health care, has been presenting his controversial views through speeches and media appearances around the country to promote his new book, Cured! The Insider’s Handbook for Health Care Reform published just last month. He will be presenting his ideas to Success North Dallas on Wednesday, and he expects a lively reception.

“People are often incredulous when I tell them that electronic medical records won’t bring down health care costs, or that the reason we have so many young workers without insurance is not because they think they’re immortal and don’t need it.” He says they’re actually making rational decisions based on misguided insurance pricing. He seems to enjoy using hard facts to poke holes in the soft underbelly of claims that insurance profits are a big contributor to excessive health costs, that the uninsured are the biggest culprit in shifting medical costs to private insurers, and that Medicare’s administration is more efficient and less costly than private insurers’.

Hyde likens the health care system to a jar of different sized marbles, “No matter how many times you shake the jar, you always end up with the small marbles—the consumers—on the bottom. Until we allow Americans to control their own health care dollars and become the big marbles, nothing the government does will move the needle on fixing our broken health care system.”

Stephen S. S. Hyde has been a public company CEO and chairman or board member of numerous companies. He is a successful health care entrepreneur, a former federal chief managed care financial regulator, a certified actuary, and an advocate of regulated market-based health care reforms to deliver sustainable, affordable, quality health care to all Americans. Hyde’s first book was “Prescription Drugs for Half Price or Less,” (2006, Bantam-Dell Division of Random House).

Denver Rent a Home Bridges Gap between Homeowners and Renters

(Denver, CO) – Denver Rent a Home, a company serving homeowners and renters throughout Denver and across the Front Range of Colorado, recently launched to serve the growing residential rental market. The owners started the company after noticing a large disparity in efficiency, professionalism and availability of information for mid-market to high-end rentals, as well as a growing interest in renting vs. buying due to the current economic and housing climate. The company lists available properties on their website www.DenverRentAHome.com and provides property staging, tenant qualification and property management services.

Owner and co-founder, Joyce Kelly, states, “For many individuals and families, it makes more economic sense to rent versus buy right now, but it can be difficult and time consuming to locate the right property. Conversely, homeowners who are interested in renting are challenged to find qualified tenants and market and manage their rentals effectively. We bridge that gap.”

Denver Rent a Home’s management team has 75 years of combined residential housing and property management-related experience in real estate buying, selling and management of single family homes, multi-family housing development projects, mortgage banking, national and local corporate relocation assistance, consulting, and service contract negotiation. The company currently focuses on properties situated in Denver, its outlying suburbs and Front Range territories and plans to expand nationally within the year.
